A bit about me…
I am a licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, trained in EMDR therapy, Gottman Method Couple Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Somatic therapy, among other modalities. I graduated with my masters degree from the University of San Francisco. My professional journey has included valuable experience in a variety of settings, including non-profit organizations, public schools, and in private practice. As a certified Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher and a certified yoga instructor, my knowledge of the mind-body connection is integrated into my work in the therapy room.
I believe deeply in the importance of connection - connection to self, connection to others, and connection to the natural world. Connectedness is a powerful antidote to feelings of anxiety, depression, or hopelessness. I enjoy working with people who want to feel a deeper sense of connection. I utilize somatic work and mindfulness in session in order to tap in to the power of your own mind and body, increasing presence and attunement to yourself and the world around you. In our work together I aim to provide a therapeutic container that allows for deep exploration of your emotions, beliefs, patterns, and values, in order to gain new awareness, tend to past trauma and shame, and unmask your most authentic self.
“The development of the self is the foundation of all else in therapy.”
